Park Hang-seo, Tien Linh to visit China after World Cup qualifier match
Vietnam head coach Park Hang-seo and forward Tien Linh will join U22 Vietnam in China after tonight’s match against Thailand.
Park is coaching the Vietnam senior team in the World Cup qualifiers and the U22 team in the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).
U22 Vietnam is now in China on for an exhibition game with U22 China in preparation for the SEA Games at the end of the year.
Park was once Guus Hiddlink’s assistant at World Cup 2002. The two will face each other as head coaches for the first time.
U22 Vietnam has some of the same players, who were in AFC U23 Championship qualifiers, including Hoang Duc, Duc Chinh, Viet Hung, and Tan Sinh, but will not have the services of Martin Lo, Quang Hai, or Van Hau, who are playing for national team.
Park’s U22 team aims to win the SEA Games this December, advance to AFC U23 championship finals next year, and secure a ticket to the Tokyo Olympics next summer.
