Van Hau plays in Heerenveen youth team’s match
After being added to the official line-up, Doan Van Hau played in the Heerenveen youth team’s match against Feyenoord.
The SC Heerenveen youth team played against Feyenoord in the framework of the reserve teams for the Dutch national league and Van Hau was given a starting slot.
The first half started with both teams deploying attacks. In the 12th minute, Heerenveen took the lead following defender Daniel Hoegh’s header. The home team equalised 5 minutes later. Van Hau was unimpressive in the first half, perhaps collaborating poorly with his teammates due to the language barrier.
In the second half, Van Hau appeared more confident. He played flexibly in both attack and defense. In the 66th minute, when Van Hau set up for his teammate in the box, the defender pushed Van Hau but drew no foul. Van Hau was sent out with a minor injury.
Both teams picked up the pace and found the net twice each. The game ended in a 3-3 draw.
Van Hau did a decent job for 65 minutes, but the language barrier seemed to be a challenge for him.
