National Cup 2019 final: 'No pressure to play Hanoi FC', says Quang Nam coach
Quang Nam FC manager Vu Hong Viet said he feels no pressure to encounter Hanoi in Thursday’s final of the National Cup.
Hanoi and Quang Nam defeated many rivals to reach the final of the National cup. This is a crucial goal for Hanoi FC as they are aiming at their double titles this season as well as winning the National Cup for the first time.
“I don’t see any pressure at all. I think a professional coach must focus on and devote wholeheartedly to his current club. I know Hanoi FC are craving for the title to add to their collection. But Quang Nam have never won the National Cup and surely we will not miss the opportunity,” Bongdaplus cited Viet, a former coach of Hanoi FC’s junior team.
Quang Nam dropped to the V-League’s relegation zone at the beginning of the 2019 season but finished in the top 10 thanks to the excellent performance of former Hanoi FC striker Hoang Vu Samson who they signed during the transfer window.
Hanoi FC has not been lucky enough in the National Cup as they only finished runner up in three consecutive season. Hanoi fans are expecting a celebration after the final today.
