It is not about Cong Phuong’s talent, but Incheon’s poor performance
Cong Phuong delivered smart phases of ball handling, yet there was no connection among other players, it is hard to blame the Vietnamese for his performance.
Cong Phuong first appeared in the starting lineup after 4 rounds. That Deagu, Inchoen’s opponent, is ranked higher than coach Andersen’s side, doesn’t reflect both teams’ true power.
Deagu took the initiative from the first minutes, they created phases to disable all Incheon’s attempts to score. They played Tiqui-taca skillfully, but those things could not be performed by Inchoen. They are of different levels.
Cong Phuong started the game with huge desire. Cong Phuong and Mugosa’s position was highest in the attack in 4-4-2 formation, yet no one earned any goals.
Inchoen’s midfield could not possess ball, later lost the domination of the game. Cong Phuong moved down in search for ball, if Mogusa did better, Cong Phuong might have made an assist.
Incheon lost to Deague, their midfield could not follow the game, they were defeated in the defense. Deagu opened the score and double the gap to 2-0, this was definitely a free gift from Incheon.
In the second half, Cong Phuong was the only pillar of Incheon’s side. No one passed him the ball, yet at the end, he handled the ball very well.
Supporters from the standings gaped every time he controlled, simply they got bored by other players’ poor performance, enthusiasm in the game.
Incheon, last season, standing at the bottom of the table, struggled not to be relegated. It was no surprise at their poor play. Cong Phuong, however, still knew show to shine in his way, despite his team’s unclear playing style.
With what Incheon did on Tuesday match, Cong Phuong deserved an official name on the list for the next games as he delivered excellent performance. He should have played in all 90 minutes.
It is not about Cong Phuong’s talent, but Incheon’s poor performance!
