If Myanmar is convicted of fixing score, they will face the risk of being suspended from FIFA for 5 years.

Recently, Myanmar Football Federation President Zaw Zaw officially announced that AFC and FIFA are investigating on match score in the Myanmar’s 0-7 loss to Kyrgyzstan on October 10, 2019.

FIFA representatives have confirmed the information and issued a warning about a severe penalty. "FIFA is considering a match fixing suspicion. Anyone who is convicted of manipulating the outcome of the game will be severely punished. They may face a five-year suspension on competition."

Myanmar can be banned for 5 years.

FIFA sent a delegation to Yangon. Myanmar media revealed that they had summoned eight main players in the defeat to Kyrgyzstan, played the match tape and reviewed the report of the referee Omar Mohamed Al-Ali (UAE).

MFF President Zaw Zaw said that it is normal for FIFA to investigate matches with large odds. However, he also regretted that Myanmar football was repeatedly doubted by FIFA and AFC about match fixing.

At the 2022 World Cup Qualifier, Myanmar is in very good shape when winning 2 consecutive victories against Tajikistan and Mongolia. They will face Japan (March 26), Kyrgyzstan (March 31) and Tajikistan (June 9). Currently coach Antoine Hey side is in 4th in Group F with 6 points.
