Myanmar coach: 'We will win 3 points against Vietnam'

Before the second match of the Tokyo Olympic 2020 Qualifiers, the Myanmar coach is confident that his players will defeat the Vietnamese women's team.

In the opening match of Group A of the Tokyo Olympic Qualifier 2020, the Myanmar women's team received a 0-7 defeat against the Korean female host. Despite a heavy defeat, Myanmar coach Yee Yee Oo is still confident that she will Myanmar will defeat Vietnam women team in the next round.

"I believe in the ability of the players. It is very important to win three points from Vietnam, although it will not be easy. We want to play in the playoffs, so we will do everything in the upcoming match,” said coach Yee.

In the third qualifying round, the DPRK did not participate in the last minute, helping the Vietnamese women's team to have a favorable advantage. Accordingly, coach Mai Duc Chung side just needs to defeat Myanmar to advance.

Commenting on the opponent, coach Mai Duc Chung said: "I think Myanmar is still much progress after AFF and SEA Games because this is a continental arena, Myanmar players are confident to control at first but quickly pressed by the opponent, so they could not deploy the game, and must play defend.”

According to the schedule, the first leg match of the Vietnam  women's team will take place at 5:00PM (Vietnam time) on February 6 at the Jeju World Cup Stadium. The last match will take place at 3pm on February 9, against the hosts Korea.
