Coach Mai Duc Chung appreciated Myanmar women
Responding to AFC, coach Mai Duc Chung said: "We used to beat them but it was the past. Myanmar has also improved a lot and understood our team after the SEA Games in the Philippines. I always told my players to keep their spirits against Myanmar.
Earlier, Myanmar was against a very strong team, South Korea so they could not show their strength. I realized that Myanmar confidently controlled the ball but Korea put a lot of pressure so Myanmar could not deploy the tactics."
The Vietnamese women's team is facing a great opportunity to advance to the playoffs of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifiers, after the Korean women defeated Myanmar 7-0. Mai Duc Chung's side will pass the group stage just by winning 3 points .
Vietnam women's team once thrashed Myanmar 4-0 in the Southeast Asian Women's Championship 2019. The decisive match between Vietnamese and Myanmar will take place at 5:00PM on 6 Feb at Jeju Stadium World Cup, in Seogwipo City, South Korea.
