Former U23 goalkeeper Phi Minh Long successfully operated a tendon injury.

According to news from the Hanoi Club, goalkeeper Phi Minh Long successfully operated his right knee at 108 Hospital on 13/5. It is expected that the former goalkeeper U23 Vietnam will take about 2 months to recover.

Phi Minh Long was injured during training again after the COVID-19 epidemic.

Specifically, the 25-year-old got an anterior cruciate ligament injury, degree III tearing of the posterior posterior meniscus, little knee joint fluid.

After the course of treatment, Minh Long's knees still hurt when he rotated and was unsteady, the Health department decided to take Minh Long to have knee surgery to cure the injury.

Minh Long was once considered the most talented young goalkeeper in Vietnam when he was trained in the U19 generation Vietnam with Cong Phuong, Xuan Truong ... After that, he was the number 1 choice at U22 / U23 Vietnam under Coach Miura and Huu Thang.

However, the mistake at SEA Games 2017 took everything from Minh Long. He was not summoned up to national teams as well as in clubs. In the 2019 season, Phi Minh Long is only the third goalkeeper in Hanoi FC after Van Cong and Bui Tien Dung.

However, the opportunity was opened for former goalkeeper U23 Vietnam when the Capital team renewed the contract and Bui Tien Dung left. Unfortunately, Minh Long suffered an injury just before the return of the V.League 2020.
