Vietnamese former convened to Asian line-up against Spain

The 2008 reigning champion AFF Suzuki Cup and his mate Phan Van Tai Em are two preventatives who was invited to join a special match organized by FAM.

The abovementioned players will be put on the list to participate in a friendly game of the former players from two sides.

Speaking to VTV, Vu Nhu Thanh revealed:

"This is a great honor for Thanh and Tai Em and also for Vietnamese football. The team is a team-sheet of big names in Asia, not only Asian, including such names as Park Ji Sung (South Korea), Nakamura (Japan) and a number of famous players from Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand..."

"The Spanish side will have presences of Fernando Hierro, Raul Gonzales, Iniesta ... Most of Spain's generation will be in attendance in the upcoming international friendly game."

Being invited comes as a huge surprise for Vu Nhu Thanh. Despite having such a hectic schedule, Nhu Thanh believes he has enough physical demand and strength to join with Spain legend who Vu Thanh himself really marvels at.

"My current schedule is very busy, but I still maintain my routine in running and doing gym daily. If arranged to play, I believe the players will be playing at their forte which means I will put on a no.5 shirt and Tai Em will wear the 21 one."
