Coach Park Hang-seo, in a recent interview, shared this plan to choose new player for Vietnam NT joining World Cup 2020 Qualifiers.
Coach Park with VFF support, he said, “We have to prepare for 2 important tournaments at the same time. It means I am the head coach of both U23 Vietnam and Vietnam NT with 2 different coaching teams. For World Cup 2020 Qualifiers, I will use important players attending AFF Cup 2018 and Asian Cup 2019. They all understand others so we would not need much time.”
“For SEA Games 2019, this is also an important goal for us since Vietnam has never won this tournament. It is not easy because we have one match every 2 days. Therefore, the most important thing is to build a quality player even those sitting on bench".
Even more, he will summon 2 experienced player Nguyen Anh Duc and Nguyen Van Quyet in order to take use of their experience.
He also gives the chances for new players who made excellent performances in AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers 2020- Trieu Viet Hung, and Vietnam NT pillars Vu Van Thanh, Pham Xuan Manh after their injury treatment.
