Vietnam right-back Van Thanh now linked with transfer to Thai League clubs Port FC
Thailand media releases the rumor on HAGL Van Thanh is now linked with a move to Thai League top team.
According to Thailand source, Van Thanh is in the radar of a club who sent an official request to HAGL.
The source also reveals that the club is either Muangthong United or Thai Port FC. Now the Thailand transfer window is active until July 19. However, Muangthong registers enough foreign quota, thereby, it is likely that Thai Port FC is eyeing Van Toan since they has 2 more slots for foreigner.
Thai Port FC is lack of player at right-back position. In the 4-3-3 formation, Nitipong is the only player who is familiar in the right wing, if he doesn’t play, the head coach is forced to take a left back to fill the gap.
That Van Thanh takes a move to Thailand is reasonable as Vietnam affirmed its position in ASEA after their continuous success. Many players such as Xuan Truong, Van lam came and played here. And Van Thanh once was the no.1 right back of Vietnam before his injury.
This player possesses many qualities of a modern wingback such as speed, endurance and extremely skillful techniques. After recovery, Van Thanh somehow regained the ball feeling in the matches of HAGL this season. With modern equipment in Thailand, fans can be assured for Van Thanh's recovery process if he moves to Thai League.
Previously, Vu Van Thanh had missed the opportunity to compete in Europe. But recently Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc has confirmed that he will consider Van Thanh and Van Toan play aboard next season.
