Vietnam national team to face Iraq prior to the great war with Malaysia in World Cup qualifiers

Iraq national team is rumored to have a friendly match with Vietnam NT on Go Vau stadium, yet the news has not been confirmed by Iraq Football Association (IFA).

Theoratically, the friendly match between Iraq and Vietnam on March 26 makes sense since both sides will take a rest until March 31.

Iraq and Vietnam are leading their groups, sharing the same 11 points after 5 matches. If the friendly match is held, the two teams will have a great chance to test their squad before their World Cup campaign.

In H2H, Vietnam hasn’t defeated Iraq yet, two losses in Asian cup 2017 and 2019 and

A draw in World Cup 2018 qualifiers.
