U23 Thailand 'prodigy' goes into history of AFC U23 Championship 2020 finals

The brace to U23 Bahrain net helps U23 Thailand talent Suphanat Mueanta go into history of U23 tournament.

In the opening match, U23 Thailand cruised past Bahrain 5-0, which Suphanat scored a brace in the 12th and 79th minutes.

The brace helps Supanat be recognized in the history of the AFC U23 Championship 2020 finals. Specifically, AFC announced that Suphanat is the youngest player to score in the tournament at the age of 17 years, 5 months and 6 days.

"I am very happy to score  goals and help the home team to win. However, I am still not satisfied with myself when I have 4 chances but only brought 2 goals. I will try to improve for the next matches".


Suphanat Mueanta broke the records of football in Thailand and Asia. Specifically, this striker is the youngest goal scorer in Thai League 1 at the age of 15 years, 9 months and 22 days.

Suphanat Mueanta is also the youngest player to represent Thailand when he was 16 years and 10 days 3 days old. The first match of Buriram young talent playing for 'War Elephants' was the 0-1 defeat to Vietnam at King's Cup 2019.
