Despite the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic in Thailand, the Football Federation still wants Nishino to receive special benefits.

Coach Akira Nishino is still stuck in Japan due to the intense developments of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although he is expected to be in Thailand at the beginning of August, it is not until the end of the month that a special flight from Japan to Thailand can bring him back to his job.

Therefore, the Thai Football Federation (FAT) is working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health in Thailand, hoping that Akira Nishino will be exempted from the 14-day quarantine so that he can immediately start working. FAT commits that the activities of Coach Akira Nishino will be closely supervised and ensure safety for the community.

When returning to Thailand, coach Akira Nishino will have time to follow the matches in the Thai League to assess the quality of the players. As planned, Thailand has 3 matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Asia in October and November. They meet Indonesia, UAE and Malaysia respectively. Currently, Thailand is ranked 3rd in Group G, after Vietnam and Malaysia.

In addition to considering the non-isolation right for coach Akira Nishino, FAT is also conducting procedures for 80 foreign players allowed to enter Thailand. These 80 players were selected by Thai clubs to prepare for the football day again.
