Chelsea midfielder sets goal to score hat-trick to Vietnam’s women team
Midfielder Ji So Yun of the Korean women's team - who is currently playing for Chelsea club - aims to set a hat-trick against the Vietnamese women's team in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifiers.
The Korean women's team made a perfect start with a 7-0 victory over Myanmar in the Tokyo Olympic qualifiers 2020. This isn’t an surprising outcome because the South Korean girls are absolutely outstanding.
In this match, Ji So Yun scored 2 goals and contributed greatly to the team's massive victory. However, the 28-year-old player was not satisfied with this result, and set a higher target in the match against the Vietnamese women's team.
Midfielder Ji So Yun shared: “I tried to score a hat-trick but failed to do it. Although I have scored, I am not satisfied with my performance. I will have to try to perform better and score more for the next game.”
“Our team has not shown its inherent level. So we need more coorperation. We need to recover early and improve weaknesses, analyze Vietnamese women team. If we prepare well the way we have shown until the end of the journey, Korea will win tickets to the play-off round. ”
Besides, Ji So Yun also confirmed that the goal of scoring many goals is important, but winning the place to attend the Olympic is the final destination. It does not matter who scored the goal, it is important that the Korean women's team qualify for the qualifying round.
On the Vietnamese women's team, coach Mai Duc Chung will have a match against Myanmar at 5:00PM on 6/2. With only 3 points, we will make sure the ticket goes to the play-off round regardless of the outcome in the final match against Korea.
