OFFICIAL: Cong Phuong stays in Ho Chi Minh City until season 2020 ends
The HCMC club successfully negotiated with the HAGL club to continue borrowing Nguyen Cong Phuong until the end of the 2020 season.
Recently, Ho Chi Minh has officially confirmed the successful contract extension with Nguyen Cong Phuong. Specifically, the striker of HAGL will stay in the team of coach Chung Hae Seong until the end of the 2020 season.
Ho Chi Minh City homepage announced: "In the afternoon of June 19, Ho Chi Minh City Club and Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club have completed the final procedures on borrowing player Nguyen Cong Phuong Jmg until the end of the season 2020 ".
This information is not too surprising as HAGL president Duc has also confirmed that he will "fairplay" and let HCMC borrow for the whole season. Previously, Ho Chi Minh City bought only half a year of Cong Phuong's contract until June 30 with Sint- Truidense.
Mr. Duc once said: "Ho Chi Minh City helps Cong Phuong find joy both on and off the pitch. Phuong feels happy here and comes on the pithc regularly, I will agree to let him stay, until the end of the season. It is fine.”
With his stay in the HCMC club, Cong Phuong continues to earn a record salary of V.League up to 120 million / month. This is an income that helps ‘Vietnamese Messi' to cover life after having a family.
In the fifth round of V.League 2020, Cong Phuong exploded with 1 goal and 1 assist, thereby helping Ho Chi Minh City defeat Viettel 3-0. Up to now, the striker has 3 goals for the team.
