Thailand no.1 defender face Man City ahead of World Cup 2022
Ahead of the World Cup 2022 opening match against Vietnam, Thai national player Theerathon Bunmathan will face the reigning champions of Premier League Man City
Thailand media wrote about Yokohama F Marinos’s denfender Theerathon Bunmathan facing Manchester City. The Siam Sport called this a golden chance to prepare for the battle against Vietnam.
Man City uploaded the no. 1 defender of Thailand on its website: “Japan, We are coming!”. Theerathon will face top star of Man City including David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne or Raheem Sterling.
Speaking before this match, Theerathon Bunmathan shared: "I really like Man City's football. The fighting spirit of Pep Guardiola is great. I will try to play well in the match forthcoming".
The match between Yokohama F Marinos and Man City will take place at 7:00 PM on July 27 at the Yokohama Stadium with 72,327 seats. Thai media hopes Bunmathan will impress the top European club.
Recently, coach Akira Nishino has determined to defeat the Vietnamese team in the opening match. The Japanese strategist also revealed star trio that will help him and Thailand win. One of the three names mentioned is Yokohama side Theerathon Bunmathan. This full-back has proved his talent at one of Asia's top leagues.
In the 2022 World Cup qualifying match, Vietnam will visit Thailand home soil on September 5.
