Ho Chi Minh’s excellent performance facing the reigning V-League champions Hanoi
With the loss of the most important player in the middle line Do Van Thuan, Ho Chi Minh FC still excellently kept Hanoi from taking 3 points home.
As the expectations of experts and fans, the great battle of V.League phase 2 between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi took place with very high professionalism and emotion. The friendly army of coach Chung Hae-seong desperately wants to pay back for the first leg, but the Hanoi club also needed a victory to return to the no. 1 position in the table, before running the difficult road at 2019 AFC Cup ASEAN Final.
In front of the crowd and the Vietnam team coach Park Hang-seo in the stands, the players of the two teams performed a fiery football, full of speed when they confront each other.
In the 31st minute, Huynh Kesley Alves scored on the penalty spot to open the scoring. Ho Chi Minh was very mischievous in the collision with goalkeeper Van Cong. However, in the 50th minute, referee Ngo Duy Lan pulled a red card for captain Do Van Thuan. The loss of the captain was unexpected, Ho Chi Minh City immediately lost control of the middle, which helped Hanoi quickly control the game.
