Ho Chi Minh FC’s Phi Son goes to South Korea for Injury treatment
According to the latest news from Ho Chi Minh FC, midfielder Tran Phi Son will officially go to South Korea for Injury treatment.
Earlier, midfielder Tran Phi Son had a traumatic injury with the ankle cuff during the training session for the new season yet the midfielder decided not to use cutlery in his visit to Singapore, following the advice of doctors.
After a period of intensive training and treatment, the player referring to "Vietnamese Ronaldo" was able to train again with his teammates in early April. It was expected that he would be able to recover and debut for Ho Chi Minh City FC in the new season but unfortunately everything became more serious and he will need to have a surgery to resolve thoroughly.
Accordingly,Ho Chi Minh City FC board decided to bring its pillar player to Korea for ankle ligament surgery in the next few days.
The reason for the 26-year-old attacking midfielder to choose Korea is from coach Chung Hae-soung’s advice, HCM FC has a positive relationship with doctor Choi Ju Young - who once treated many Vietnam players. In recent years, Korean is also highly appreciated for their facilities and skills to treat injuries in sports field
If the surgery is successful, Phi Son is expected to take a few months to return to the pitch, which means that the 26-year-old will soon have to say goodbye to the 2019 season.
This will be considered a huge loss for Ho Chi Minh City FC, last season, Phi Son was the best player in the squad, he played a total of 21 matches, scoring 6 goals and 9 assists, making a great contribution to help this team finish at the 12th position.
This season, Ho Chi Minh City FC is doing a lot better, even when they are making great progress on the top of the table after V- League 2019 finishes the first leg, however If Phi Son appears in the squad, this is still considered the first choice of coach Chung Hae-soung by his technique and verified professional skills.
