FAT requires information blockade ahead of World Cup 2022 qualifier
Nishino and FAT decided to hide all the information about Thailand national team for the best preparation against Vietnam.
Akira Nishino is known for his talent with professional strict style. Recently, he asked FAT to keep all the news about the team.
According to SMM Sport, in the meeting of the local football development committee with the participation of Thai football leaders and coach Akira Nishino, the above request was made. After the meeting, General Secretary Nanthakul issued a warning:
"His working style is very professional so we need to change some work processes, including giving different information of the team about its information of matches, practice match, player list or play diagram in this period".
Mr. Nanthakul further explained: "The reason to avoid leaking information because Nishino wants the players to focus on training for the best results. So some information is confidential for the benefit of Thailand."
Nishino coach is currently in Japan. According to Thai media, the 64-year-old strategist wants to find a Japanese assistant in the upcoming tournaments. Nishino also plans to leave Thailand to train for the World Cup 2022 qualifier.
Upon returning to Thailand, Mr. Nishino will announce a preliminary 30-man list.
