Mr. Tran Anh Tu - VPF chairman said that HAGL did not attend the meeting because they are losing the rights of the team.

On March 31, VPF chaired a meeting with 14 clubs attending the V.League 2020 to find out how to organize the tournament when the COVID-19 pandemic is taken over. This is a necessary work at this time for the parties to sit together and come up with the best solution for the rest of the 2020 season.

While 13/14 teams all sent representatives to attend, HAGL Club was absent in this meeting. The reason is because HAGL president Doan Nguyen Duc banned the team from participating in any sports activities during this period.

Sharing views on the issue, VPF Chairman Tran Anh Tu said: "All the clubs attending the meeting are very serious and constructive. There may be conflicting opinions but all clubs are aware that this is because of everyone’s benefit, how to solve the problem and each team is not too disadvantaged.

Whether or not to attend the meeting is the right of HAGL. This is an internal meeting of the company with its shareholders. That meeting is in the interests of shareholders, the clubs themselves. If HAGL doesn't hold a meeting, it will refuse its rights. "

Regarding the results of the meeting with the remaining 13 teams, Mr. Tran Anh Tu said: "At present, we have not made any decision yet because it is only a contingency plan, given for estimation only. The organizers have just come up with a plan with a timeline, then by that time the tournament can be carried out, the clubs feel reasonable, we will follow such a situation. "

Previously, VPF made the milestones from April 15 to May 29 or June 1 to June 28 for the V.League 2020 first leg. April 15- May 29 is not feasible and tournament organizers will still have to wait for the Covid-19 epidemic ended to have an appropriate plan for the return date.
