VFF said that Vietnam will summon up in September to prepare for the qualifying matches of   World Cup 2022.

Initially, VFF wanted Vietnam to join in June and compete in a friendly match against a strong national team. However, the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic pushed the league schedule pack.

In the recent share of the Vietnam Football Federation, Vietnam will postpone callup to September. VFF wants the domestic league to go smoothly before giving the condition to the national team.

FIFA also proposed to postpone the schedule for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers to October and November, so the plan for Vietnam will be more reasonable. VPF will arrange a reasonable V-League schedule to complete the tournament and optimize the time for Vietnam national team to compete internationally.

Because there is no football activity in the first half of this year, the last 6 months of the year will be extremely tense.

Immediately after matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Vietnam will enter the championship campaign at the AFF Cup 2020.

Park is putting high determination in these two arenas, including the opening match against Malaysia in the World Cup 2022 qualifiers. If Vietnam wins over ‘Harimau’, Vietnam will have the opportunity to move on as they fight against underdog Indonesia at home. Earning 6 points, Vietnam will be completely comfortable during the trip to the UAE.

Like the national team, the U22 team also focuses on the end of the year. Because Park Hang-seo is busy with seniors, the U22 team will be assigned to assistant Kim Han Yoon. Although SEA Games 31 is just over a year away, the coaching staff still wants to seek new players early and plan to defend the championship right at home.
