The Thai League’s late return will not only affect the plans of the Thai national teams but also the clubs that are suffering great losses.

Recently, after the decision to return in September 2020, the clubs have cut spending, even liquidated contracts with foreign players to avoid negative salary fund. Specifically, "giants" like Buriram also have to terminate the contract with stars Bernardo Guieta, Arjen Stein Kevin Ingrezo and Andres Tunes, only retain Jung Jae Young. The notable name is Andres Tunes - the Venezuelan national player who used to play in La Liga.

Tunez's exit was first confirmed yesterday in a Facebook post by Thunder Castle co-owner Karuna Chidchob, who praised Venezuelan centre-back's contributions during his seven-year-long stay at the northeastern club. "All things must come to an end, no matter how good or bad," said a separate Buriram United statement.

"It's time for the professional relationship between Buriram United and this gentle giant [Tunez] to come to an end," the statement added.

"On behalf of the club and the fans, we would like to say that Tunez will forever have a place in our hearts. We will continue to support you and wish you success in the future."

Not only Buriram but many other Thai League clubs are also planning to cut down the number of foreign soldiers. In the coming time, to save money and deal with the Covid-19 epidemic, many Thai clubs will turn to recruiting Asian players from Iran, Uzbekistan ... to reduce the burden of salary fund.
