VFF speeds up the process of naturalizing players
VFF representatives said the naturalized players could be added to the Vietnam team in three matches to qualify for the 2022 World Cup later this year.
Sharing with the press in the afternoon of June 15, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Le Hoai Anh said that Vietnam is aware ofthe exciting naturalization activities from Malaysia, the first opponent of the Vietnam at the World Cup qualifier later this year. Therefore, VFF also plans to add naturalization force to counterbalance Malaysia.
Previously, VFF has repeatedly revealed that they are promoting naturalization for Vietnamese goalkeeper Filip Nguyen. The goalkeeper playing in the Czech Republic is considered a high-level overseas Vietnamese that has recruited Vietnam over the past few years. His naturalization process is ongoing and is likely to be completed before the Malaysia vs Vietnam match in October.
Another work that VFF is trying to implement is asking permission to bring the new Technical Director Yusuke Adachi to Vietnam. Earlier, the Government allowed Mr. Adachi to enter Vietnam as a senior expert. Japanese experts will soon complete the final procedures before entering Vietnam next time.
Because Vietnam has not reopened international trade routes, Mr. Adachi will enter Vietnam through special flights. He will undergo a 14-day medical isolation process according to state regulations.
Regarding foreign experts, VFF recently announced a contract with Korean doctor Choi Ju-young. On the morning of June 15, Mr. Choi worked with two injured Vietnamese players, Do Duy Manh and Tran Dinh Trong.
Another team that will soon have foreign experts is a Vietnam women team. Coach Mai Duc Chung will receive support from a foreign fitness coach. VFF is looking for and will soon announce this coach's identity.
