VFF denied fake news about the new technical director

Technical director Jurgen Gede will bid farewell to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after the contract ends in June this year. In the past few days, who will replace is one of the topics that attract the attention of Vietnamese fans.

One of the leading candidates for this position is Philippe Troussier currently the U19 Vietnam coach. The French coach has an extremely suitable resume for this position, with many years working in Asia and very knowledgeable about Vietnamese football. However, VFF Standing Vice Chairman Tran Quoc Tuan has denied the above information:

"As the contract with Gede was about to close, the VFF was looking for a new person to replace Mr. Gede's position. The secretariat is currently doing this work and there are a number of candidates.

In the near future, when VFF completes the procedure, it will announce the new technical director of Vietnamese football. That person is definitely not Mr. Philippe Troussier - who only focuses on the coach of U19 Vietnam team.”
