The 24-year-old striker suffered an injury in the match against Becamex Binh Duong and is still leaving the possibility of playing in the match against Quang Nam.
In the 9th round, striker Van Toan had a very good match against Becamex Binh Duong and scored an impressive opening goal to help HAGL to draw at Go Dau yard. But also because of playing too aggressively and enthusiastically, Van Toan had a shoulder injury after the game ended.
Specifically, in a dispute with the opponent, the striker’s shoulder was injured. After the match in round 9, the HAGL club gave him a medical examination and luckily the player only had a flesh wound.
"The injury of Van Toan is not heavy, he quickly recovered and can practice normally," the representative of HAGL said. Although the injury is not too serious, Van Toan's ability to play in the 10 round V. League to Quang Nam this weekend is not high.
Coach Lee Tae Hoon added: "We have to review the situation of Van Toan before deciding. He struggled from the beginning of the season. I have to think of a way to help Van Toan reduce the load for the upcoming journey."
If Van Toan is absent in the match against Quang Nam this weekend, this will be a big challenge for HAGL. They are urgently needed 3 points to continue to maintain a position in the Top 8 before phase 1 ends.
