Van Toan: 'HAGL always lacks stability'
Striker Nguyen Van Toan acknowledged that HAGL club needs to play more stable if they want to accomplish the goal in the 2020 V.League season.

Disappointed about the loss of SHB Da Nang, Nguyen Van Toan threw away the captain's armband of HAGL to the pitch.
In the 6th round of V.League 2020, HAGL travelled to SHB Da Nang which was forecasted to be comfortable. HAGL started the game well and had an opening goal thanks to Van Toan's goal in the 29th minute.
However, the mistakes in the defense made Hoang Anh Gia Lai pay huge as they let Phan Van Long, Ha Duc Chinh and Tanda found Buu Ngoc's net and upstream to win 3-1.
Too disappointed with the team's poor performance, Van Toan could not keep calm and he was so angry that he took off the captain's armband and throw it to the ground.
Nguyen Van Toan is one of 2 vice captains of HAGL this season. In the match against SHB Da Nang, Tuan Anh was the captain. However, the midfielder was pulled out in the 77th minute and handed the captain's armband to Van Toan.
Van Toan's action was understandable because he has played hard and brought goals for HAGL. However, personal mistakes in defense have erased all those efforts.
This is a consequence of the statement "play for fun" of HAGL president. Perhaps it is time Hoang Anh Gia Lai should let the best players like Van Toan and Tuan Anh leave like Cong Phuong.
