Mr. Johnny Jansen rejected the judgment of former Heerenveen coach Gertjan Verbeek, saying that Van Hau was not qualified enough to play in the Netherlands.
In a recent statement, former coach Heerenveen Gertjan Verbeek was shocked to say that Doan Van Hau was not good enough to play in Australia, not to mention Dutch league.
However, SC Heerenveen coach Johnny Jansen said that Mr. Verbeek sets the standard too high for the tournament in Oceania. The 45-year-old strategist affirmed Van Hau is developing well.

In addition, Mr. Jansen also acknowledged the mistake of not giving many opportunities to Van Hau in the past. The Dutch leader also revealed that the team was negotiating with Hanoi FC to extend the contract with the 21-year-old defender.
Doan Van Hau's contract is valid from September 2019 to June 2020. At the end of May, Heerenveen will have to negotiate with Hanoi FC to make a final decision on the future of Thai Binh-born defender.
After more than half a year in Europe, Doan Van Hau has not been able to compete for Heerenveen's first team. Vietnam defender has only been coached by Johnny Jansen for 4 minutes in the National Cup.
