Que Ngoc Hai: ‘I look forward to the day I will confront Anh Khoa”
Five years after making an unnecessary tackle with Anh Khoa, Que Ngoc Hai found it interesting to think of the day confronting the Danang player.
“I and Anh Khoa still keep a good relationship with each other. It's over, we both don't want it to happen," Que Ngoc Hai shared an unfortunate story with Anh Khoa in the past.
In the 21st minute of the 25th round of 2015 V-League, Que Ngoc Hai crossed the ball to prevent the opponent. Immediately, the player received that tackling phase - Anh Khoa was lying in the yard crying in pain.
The result was unexpected. Anh Khoa suffered an extremely serious injury. Despite being taken to Singapore for treatment, he still cannot return to professional football. After 2 years of struggling with an injury, the Da Nang player had to retire from his career and switch to coaching.
As for Que Ngoc Hai, from being one of the most promising defenders of Vietnamese football at that time, the Nghe Anh-born player pityed to suffer the criticism of public opinion. The money for Anh Khoa could not erase this scandalous spot.
5 years have passed, Anh Khoa is now a youth coach of SHB Da Nang, and Que Ngoc Hai has been the captain of the Vietnam national team to achieve much success during the past 2 years. Both no longer want to wallow in the past. Looking to the future is the right thing to do now.
“I still wish for the best for him. Maybe in the future, both will confront each other, but as a coach. If that happens, it will be really interesting, ” said Que Ngoc Hai.
In addition, Que Ngoc Hai also expressed gratitude to HAGL president Doan Nguyen Duc for supporting him with the compensation for Anh Khoa's injury. That is an undeniable "gift". Therefore, he feels sorry for not being able to join HAGL in the past.
