Phan Van Duc: 'Vietnam is above Malaysia and Indonesia'

Conquering the World Cup qualifiers 2022 is the key goal of Vietnamese football by the end of this year. Park Hang-seo and Vietnam NT are facing a great opportunity to win a ticket to the next round.

Phan Van Duc shared: "Vietnam is leading Group G. The opportunity to win tickets to the final round of the 2022 World Cup is great. I believe Park Hang-seo will have reasonable calculations to help Vietnam. It was the first time to come to that prestigious round.  In the remaining three matches, the hardest one is the last match, the UAE had a better level, and play at home again.

However, Vietnam is also in a good spirit after defeating this opponent in the first leg at My Dinh. Malaysia and Indonesia are now both weaker than Vietnam in quality. We have beaten them several times under Park Hang-seo’s direction "- according to VNE.

Phan Van Duc was absent from the last 5 matches of the Vietnamese team in the 2022 World Cup qualifier due to injury. The absence of Nghe An-born striker is a big disadvantage, because he is a type of player with the ability to create high mutations and surprise opponents.

The last time Phan Van Duc played for the Vietnamese team was in the 2019 Asian Cup. However, the 24-year-old player is still regularly included in the team's callup in 2019.
