Thai League Deputy Managing Director Benjamin Tan rejected the comments of former coach Heerenveen Gertjan Verbeek and said Van Hau was a good player.

Recently, former coach Heerenveen Gertjan Verbeek shocked to announced that Vietnamese national team Doan Van Hau was not strong enough to play in Australia, not to mention Dutch league.

However, Thai League’s deputy directing manager Benjamin Tan has denied Gertjan Verbeek’s opinion. Experts at the Thai league think that Doan Van Hau is a very talented young player.

Mr. Benjamin Tan highly appreciated Van Hau's talent.

Benjamin Tan shared: "I think Van Hau is a good player. If not, why would Heerenveen sign him instead of using a native player in the squad. But the team did not create enough opportunities so it will harm this young talent."

Doan Van Hau's contract is valid from September 2019 to June 2020. At the end of May, Heerenveen will have to negotiate with Hanoi FC to make a final decision on the future of Thai Binh defender.

According to Dutch sources, Heerenveen highly appreciates Van Hau's talent and effort in training. Therefore, the team is planning to continue to keep Van Hau to stay for a while longer.

After more than half a year in Europe, Doan Van Hau has not been able to compete for Heerenveen's first team. Vietnam defender has only been played by Johnny Jansen for 4 minutes in the National Cup.
