Ho Chi Minh City FC broke its plan at the AFC Cup because of coronavirus outbreak
The match between Ho Chi Minh City Club and Yangon United at the AFC Cup 2020 will be changed to another venue due to the corona virus.
According to the previous schedule that Sports442 has reported, Ho Chi Minh City Club will welcome Yangon United on the Thong Nhat Stadium at 5:00PM on Feb 11. However, due to the corona virus, the General Department of Vietnam Sports Administration issued a request to suspend sports activities in February.
Therefore, the Asian Football Federation (AFC) has decided that Chung Hae-seong and Ho Chi Minh City will not play at home but travel to Myanmar. This decision has a significant impact on the training and preparation of the home team.
Currently the whole team is training in Ba Ria City. They had a friendly match with the Binh Duong club on the afternoon of February 7. With the schedule changed, it is likely that they will have to cancel this match to have time to depart for Myanmar against Yangon United on February 11.
Another representative of Vietnam, Quang Ninh Club, had to travel to Ceres Negros's pitch, Bacolod, Philippines. It was not until the return leg for the land team to play at home.
Than Quang Ninh will still travel to Bali United on February 11 at Kapten I Wayan Dipta, the return leg takes place on April 29.
