Vietnam’s Quang Hai reported to miss National Cup for an unbelievable reason
In the match against Hong Linh FC in the knockout stage of National Cup on June 30. Vietnam national player Nguyen Quang Hai was not registered by Hanoi FC for an interesting reason.
Accordingly, Hanoi FC coach Chu Dinh Nghiem just gave out some of pillars including Duy Manh, Hung Dung, Duc Huy, Tien Dung in this V-League leg 2 match.
Other pillars such as Quang Hai, Pape Omar, Moses weren’t listed in the playing list, sitting in the stand instead.
Sharing after the match, Mr. Chu said he wants to give Quang Hai break time after he had the wisdom tooth extraction.
"Quang Hai just extracted the number 8 tooth (often called wisdom tooth) and I wanted to give him a rest after a period of continuous competition" - Hanoi FC coach revealed.
Although there is no Quang Hai in the squad, the capital team still plays completely over the guest Hong Linh Ha Tinh, they almost dominated the game throughout the match.
Van Dung helped Hanoi take the lead by a precise header in the 19th minute, and in the 51st minute Duc Huy doubled the gap by a dangerous finish.
By the 85th minute, Duc Huy completed his brace outside the box, preventing Hong Linh Ha Tinh goalkeeper, until the injury time, the visitor had an honor goal to close the losing match 1-3.
By winning Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Hanoi club will play a rematch with DNH Nam Dinh in 2019 National Cup quarter-finals, coach Chu Dinh Nghiem has also shown his caution as Thanh Nam team has beaten them at V.League leg 1 this year.
"Nam Dinh is an uncomfortable opponent. We lost 0-2 in the first leg. Besides, Thien Truong stadium greatly influenced the play of Hanoi FC.
This season we still set big goals in the Cup. Currently, Hanoi FC has lost 2 important players till the end of the season and I am looking for additional sources”.
