Vietnam head coach claims to show his respect to King’s cup
Vietnam coach Park Hang-seo recently speaks during a press interaction ahead of Thailand King’s Cup 2019.
In a pre-match press conference, Mr. Park claimed that he does respect King’s Cup, not like what Thai media said earlier.
Coach Park Hang-seo held a conference to explain about Vietnam squad list for King’s Cup. He answered all the questions given on Vietnam players and related issues.
Previously, Thai media wrote that Vietnam head coach didn’t respect King’s Cup as this is a place to test their troop and prepare for World Cup Qualifiers 2022. Responding the misunderstanding, Park quickly corrects a misunderstanding:
“Before starting the conference, I would like to revise and correct some misunderstanding news from local media. As I heard, there was a Thai press writing that I didn’t have high commend and no respect King’s Cup. King’s Cup is a traditional tournament of Thailand which has good achievements and developments for Asia Football. I myself played in King’s Cup when I was a player.
In my conference in Vietnam, I only mention the difficulties of the team when we have tied schedule in V-League and also a long journey from Hanoi to Buriram. I highly appreciate and thankful to FAT for inviting us to the high –level tournament. I affirm that facing Thailand is a good chance for Vietnam. I just want to correct this.
Tomorrow, we have a clash against Thailand, the powerhouse in ASEAN. So playing against them will be a great opportunity. We will fight with high spirit and pride as the AFF Suzuki Cup Champions. We will try our best".
Speaking of upcoming match, coach Park hang-seo claims
"We are not afraid of Thailand, we don’t underestimate them. For us, we will play our style. I always teach my players to play with their spirit, no fear. I talk to myself too. Thailand is a strong team, but to win, we will try our best and keep moving forwards.
I talked to my players that we don’t know what happens tomorrow, but we will keep our effort and learn something from that”.
King’s Cup 2019 is going to kick off June 5 with the opening match between Vietnam and Thailand. Both teams are preparing for the friendly yet important match. This will decide their rankings on FIFA table.
