‘The Incheon situation makes it hard for Cong Phuong in King’s Cup’, an expert says

After 5 consecutive losses in K-League 2019, Incheon United, even having changed its manager, remains in a slump as they received a Wednesday defeat to Cheongju in national cup. This was the first game Cong Phuong got an official position in starting lineup yet he was replaced in the second half.

Earlier, Cong Phuong played full time on the pitch once in Deagu match K-League 2019 round 5 and most of other matches he came out from the bench or even no appearance.

Experts have been questioning about this striker’s performance since he did not appear much on the pitch.  According to expert Vu Manh Hai, if a player doesn’t play much, his strength and resistance will not progess.

“ The most important thing for Cong Phuong now is to play. Hence, that he only played a half and was replaced affect his strength and resistance. Only Playing one half reduces his strength, progress of resistance and speed”

It is a month left for coach park hang-seo to sent summons to Vietnam NT in preparation for King’s Cup 2019. Mr Vu Manh Hai expressed his concern of Cong Phuong when he is called back to national squad in May.

“ It is worth concerning. If Cong Phuong doesn’t play regularly, or he doesn’t play long enough, He cannot catch up with Korean’s playing style and strength. I think Cong Phuong’s performance will decline if the situation remains like this. It will definitely reduce, can’t get better”
