Thailand brings a star from the UK to compete in U19 International tournament in Vietnam

While U23 tournaments and national teams have stolen all of the headlines, the U19 tournament is also preparing for competitions in Nha Trang.

In this tournament, Vietname’s under 19 selected player will have the opportunity to compete with strong opponents from China, Thailand and Myanmar. U19 Thailand is highly appreciated thanks to the equal quality,  with best players at this age of Thai football.

The most prominent player is the 18-year-old Leon Pitchaya James, who is playing in the U18 Leicester City’s shirt. In Premier League, Leon played nine official matches at the central midfield of The Foxes.

In preparation for the U19 International Championship, Under 19 Thailand played a friendly match against Thai second division Kasetsart FC and lost 0-1. The close loss to the opponent older in age and strong in experience, Coach Issara Sritaro has given praise to his young players.

In addition to Leon Pitchaya James, Thailand also brings many pillars, they are the players that the Thai Football Federation nurture and invests in tournaments this year.

At U19 International tournament, U19 Thailand will face coach Guillaume Graechen’s U19 Vietnam. This is such a worth watching match between the two teams taking place on 25 March.
