Man City owner eyes on Muangthong, The Kirins claims not to sale
Manchester City is rumored to eye on Muangthong United, yet the club claimed that they are not for sale.
Recently, The Kirins is rumored to be bought by City Football Group (CFG) – the owner of Manchester City, yet the club denied the fake news.
“Such a deal will not be agreed” the club said.
“SCG (Siam Cement Group) doesn’t have a plan to sell their stock now”
SCG and Siam Sports Syndicate are the major shareholders of Muangthong United”.
However, Muangthong admits CFG’s attention to Thailand club.
Some sources stated that this group is eyeing a Thai League 1 club whose headquarter is in the Northeast.
Besides Man City, CFG run by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed of Abu Dhabi, is also the owner of many clubs in the world including York City (USA), Melbourne City (Australia), Girona (Spain), Yokohama F Marinos (Japan) and Sichuan Jiuniu (China).
After Muangthong’s poor performance at the start of the season, they played quite well with the new coach Alexandre Gama.
