Coach Park Hang-seo: “Vietnam will go for broke against Indonesia”

U23 Vietnam easily defeated U23 Brunei in the U23 Asian qualifiers opening match. Coach Park Hang Seo, speaking after the game, spent much time on sharing about this game as well as the result between U23 Thailand and U23 Indonesia.

“I am satisfied with my players, they followed the rules and my plan. Even though, they still need to practice more. Anyway I am thankful for their effort”, coach Park Hang Seo was delighted with U23 Vietnam’s performance.

Just a few hours before, U23 Thailand defeated U23 Indonesia in their 4-0 match, which impress Mr. Park. He appreciated Thai’s preparation: “Thailand is the host next year and they have been preparing really well. They’ve got a strong force and team connection. They’ve been doing really well for this tournament”.

That Thailand had a great victory against Indonesia pushed Vietnam into a race of goal difference, however, Mr Park pointed: “I haven’t thought of how the result between Thailand and Indonesia has impact on us, but we are going to go for broke with Indonesians in the upcoming match.”

U23 Vietnam attack wings many times in this game, coach Park said this is not the main plan he applied: “Because we focus on wings so we must either cross the ball or kick. Since our opponent has a large number of player, our players have to cross the ball into the penalty area.

I don't prefer wing attacking too much, so did the players. Our favorite is short-distance passing so that we can take advantage of the mobility of the players."

Talking about Duc Chinh's goal and the appearance of Dinh Trong, Park commented: "It has been a long time since he last scored, today's goal will help him regain his confidence.
