BREAKING: Debutant Cong Phuong had his first match in Sint-Truidense

Sint-Truidense faced the Belgium second-tier Lommel SK at the final friendly match before Jupiler Pro League 2019/20 starts. Notably, Vietnam forward Nguyen Cong Phuong made his debut in that match.

Cong Phuong came to the pitch right in the star of the game. Despite putting much effort, the 24-year-old could not score his first goal in the new club. Cong Phuong was substituted out, being replaced by central forward Yohan Boli.

Lommel took the lead 2-0 right in the first half, in the second half, Cong Phuong side played better and earn their only goal from Yohan Boli, finishing the game 1-2.

Vietnam forward proved some qualities of technique and dribbling skill. This is a good sign for the no. 15 striker to play more in the upcoming season.
