V-League 2020 will not have the title of top scorer, Mr. Tran Anh Tu, General Director of VPF has revealed the reasons for this decision.
Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Chairman of the Board, General Director of VPF shared: “In phase 2, V-League will be divided into two separate groups. The number of matches between these two groups is different. In group 1, the teams play 7 more games. In group 2, the teams play 5 matches. It is difficult to create the necessary balance for the players who win the title of top scorer.
Grouping also creates a level boundary. Clubs in the championship group, though having played more matches, faced a bigger competition than the other clubs. That makes the players in the first team will also be more difficult to target goals ”- according to Bongdaplus.
V-League 2020 will still have 11 award categories including Style Award, Best XI, best youth training achievements, the best match organizer, Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Goal of the year,...
The top scorer is the goal of all strikers playing in the V-League. Abloshing this title is inevitable affecting the motivation of the players.
