Dang Van Lam was finally present at Muangthong United's training session after days of absences.
On March 18, Muangthong United Club continued to have practice sessions during the Thai League's suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Photos posted by the club later showed that Dang Van Lam also participated in this training with his teammates. This is the first time the No. 1 goalkeeper in Vietnam appeared after unexplained absences in previous training sessions.
However, while the remaining 4 goalkeepers trained with the coach, Van Lam had to practice separately. A lot of information said he was having an injury so he needed to undergo recovery exercises. This injury also made him unable to play in the recent time.
To fill Van Lam's position, coach Alexandre Gama put young goalkeepers to practice with the first team. In friendly matches, the Brazilian coach also wanted giving opportunities to young goalkeepers to prepare for future plans.
