Park suddenly changed U22 Vietnam roster

On the afternoon of August 13, Park Hang-seo announced the summoning list of U22 Vietnam for the upcoming 18 Aug rally. In this rally, the Korean strategist gave the opportunity to 48 young players to show their talents. Thereby, Park can search for talented factors for U22 Vietnam at SEA Games 31 at home.

However, just before the day the team gathered, the Korean strategist suddenly had to make adjustments in this list. Specifically, midfielder Nguyen Van Viet (SLNA) and defender Doan Anh Viet (Dak Lak) were chosen to replace midfielder Vo Van Toan (Can Tho) and defender Tran Ngoc Hiep (Hue).

The reason for Park Hang Seo to make such a change is because Vo Van Toan and Tran Ngoc Hiep had difficulty moving to Hanoi to join U22 Vietnam, due to the influence of COVID-19. This unexpectedly opened up opportunities for Nguyen Van Viet and Doan Anh Viet.

The players will be present at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center on August 16 to carry out medical examination as prescribed. The team will enter their first training session on the afternoon of August 18 and conclude the gathering phase on August 28.
