Hanoi FC captain Van Quyet denied a French club offer

Forward Nguyen Van Quyet reveals that he once denied many attractive offers from overseas clubs, including some French ones.

Van Quyet just renews his contract with Hanoi FC, which he first signed in 2011. The Ha Tay-born plays an important role in Hanoi FC’s advancement to become the no. 1 team in Vietnam.

The 28-year-old still keeps high form and be a good captain for the younger players. Hanoi FC, thereby, rewarded him a new 3-year contract with a side-payment of up to 400,000 USD.

Van Quyet could not hire his joy, “I am greatful to be acknowlegded and signed new contract by the coaching staff and the executive board. The club understands my wish and offers a new contract.

I have been playing for Hanoi FC for 9 years, and this is my third contract. For me, Hanoi FC is something  special, I always prefer this club,” Quyet told the media.

During the time playing for Hanoi FC, Van Quyet helps the club win 4 V-League championships, 1 national cup and three runner up title. Internationally, Van Quyet brought Hanoi FC to the AFC Cup inter-zonal final last season.

With his experience and profession, Van Quyet is named regularly in the individual titles.

“Since 2012, some France second-tier clubs have offered me but I want to devoted for Hanoi FC and conquer other titles with the team,” Quyet added.
