HAGL eliminates Xuan Truong from the National Cup

On February 8, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club managing director Nguyen Tan Anh revealed that this team would register to add Luong Xuan Truong to the list of 23 players competing in the 2020 National Cup.

However, the list of HAGL registration published by the VPF homepage did not have the name Luong Xuan Truong. The

Luong Xuan Truong is currently treating a knee ligament fracture in South Korea. According to doctors' evaluation, it is not until April this year that Xuan Truong can return to Vietnam. After that, he also needs at least 1-2 months to practice regaining fitness and ball sense before playing football.

Despite his absence, Xuan Truong still has the opportunity to attend the 2020 National Cup if it goes deeper in this tournament. By regulation, HAGL has the right to register additional 5 names during transfer window (June 15 to July 12).

At the 2020 National Cup, HAGL will start from the qualifier with a match against Nam Dinh FC. In the previous season, Tuan Anh and his teammates reached the quarter-finals, before losing to Quang Nam with a score of 4-5 on the penalty shootout.
