U22 Vietnam members can safely step into practice from August 18 after having Covid-19 test results.

As previously reported, Vietnam U22 gathered at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation on August 16 to take samples for Covid-19 and returned to the pre-arranged room to perform isolation for epidemic prevention.

After a day of waiting, the U22 Vietnam players and coach Park Hang-seo received the test results from the Ministry of Health. All samples were negative. Vietnam U22 can rest assured to practice for the next 10 days starting from August 18 at the youth football field of the Vietnamese Football Federation.

Due to the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Asian Football Federation (AFC) had to decide to move the World Cup 2022 qualifiers later this year to 2021. Consequently, Vietnam had to cancel the gathering at this time as soon as announcing the roster.

However, U22 Vietnam team is aiming to be the 31st SEA Games at the end of next year at home, Coach Park Hang-seo and the Vietnam Football Federation still decided the focus was to take place as usual.

Due to the national team and the national championship halted, the U22 list of Vietnam this time has most of the best faces (except for some players who could not go up due to the translation area). 48 people will be divided into two groups managed by 2 coaching teams.

The players will have 6 internal matches to properly assess the qualities of each player. The players will practice and play closely, limit contact with strangers to avoid the disease.
