Filip Nguyen has submitted the application for Vietnamese nationality to the authorities and is waiting for the results.
Filip Nguyen shared: “My application has been sufficient in accordance with the law of Vietnam. Currently, I wait for the comments and approval of the authorities ”- Next Sports quoted.
If possible, the Czech-born goalkeeper will be eligible to play for the Vietnamese team in upcoming tournaments.
Filip Nguyen has proven his class in the Czech Republic league. The goalkeeper currently playing for Slovan Liberec Club is one of the best goalkeepers in the tournament. If Filip Nguyen is served, coach Park Hang Seo will have another quality player to compete in the wooden frame with Van Lam.
Filip Nguyen was born on September 14, 1992. In the 2018-2019 season, Filip Nguyen had 440 minutes of continuous clean sheets for Slovan Liberec Club and was voted "Best Goalkeeper" in the Czech Republic.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper once told the press: "You cannot understand how people in Vietnam love football. A video of my saves has more than 2 million views online. The fans also know all the Vietnamese players from around the world, including my name.
