Arsenal have gone into lockdown after Mikel Arteta was diagnosed with coronavirus late on Thursday night.

A few minutes ago, the Arsenal homepage announced: " Our London Colney training centre has been closed after head coach Mikel Arteta received a positive COVID-19 result this evening. Arsenal personnel who had recent close contact with Mikel will now self-isolate in line with Government health guidelines.”

Following this information, the Premier League organizers will also hold an emergency meeting a few hours later to discuss matches this weekend. Possibly, the Premier League will also postpone like La Liga or Serie A.

"After the Arsenal club announcement confirming that coach Mikel Arteta is positive for Covid-19, the Premier League will convene an emergency meeting between clubs tomorrow in the matter," the Premier League representative said.

The Arsenal club also confirmed that they will obviously not be able to take part in scheduled matches.
