Johnny Jansen keeps the squad, Van Hau has no chance to play against Feyenoord
Sharing with domestic media, coach Johnny Jansen said he will continue to keep the starting line-up when SC Heerenveen confronts Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Dutch Cup quarter-finals.
SC Heerenveen is currently in bad form as they have just gone through a 5 winless streak at Eredivisie.
SC Heerenveen will enter a confrontation with Feyenoord in the Dutch quarter-finals of the Netherlands. This is definitely a tough challenge for coach Johnny Jansen and his players, because Feyenoord owns 10 unbeaten matches in the domestic league, including five consecutive victories.
However, shared with Leeuwarder Courant, the 44-year-old strategist said he will not change the squad to play and continue to believe in his choices.
Thus, with the above statement of coach Jansen, Doan Van Hau will almost have to continue to wait for the opportunity from the bench. Since moving to Heerenveen, the Thai Binh-born defender has only played for four minutes, in De Superfrienzen's 2-0 victory over Roda FC in December last year.
Doan Van Hau is still performing quite well when playing for the youth team. Three days ago, the young star of Vietnam played full 90 minutes in Jong Heerenveen's 1-0 victory over Go Ahead Eagles.
The confrontation between SC Heerenveen and Feyenoord Rotterdam in the quarter-finals of the KNVB Cup will take place at 2:45 pm on February 14. The winner of this match will meet NAC Breda in the semi-finals.
