U23 Jordan recieves bad news before the clash with UAE
U23 Jordan coach Ahmed Abu Ismail received a bad news when APOEL FC did not allow Al-Taamari to play the U23 UAE match on January 16.
Jordan U23 recently received an unhappy news about the situation before the important match with U23 UAE. Midfielder Al-Taamari will not be able to attend the upcoming match against U23 UAE, as well as the next matches if U23 Jordan pass the group stage. Earlier, the Jordanian Football Federation had expected APOEL Club of Cyprus to allow Al-Taamari to join Jordan U23 after January 13.
However, on January 14, the team finally refused to let Al Taamari return to join Ahmed Abu Ismail’s army. Jordan Football Federation (JFA) also confirmed the absence of the 22-year-old star midfielder, despite great efforts to make negotiations with the APOEL club but failed.
Al-Taamari is considered one of the top stars of Jordan football. This player is considered as the soul in the attacking style of the West Asian team. The absence of Al-Taamari will greatly affect the U23 Jordan's ambition to attend the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Currently after the first 2 matches, U23 Jordan is temporarily ranked in 2nd place with 4 points. In the final match of the group stage, the army of coach Ahmed Abu Ismail will face U23 UAE - the team that is leading Group D, U23 Asian Cup finals 2020. Just a victory or a draw with a goal , U23 Jordan will officially appear in the quarter finals of the tournament.
The match between U23 Jordan vs U23 UAE will be held at 8:15PM on January 16 at Chang Arena Stadium, Buriram. At the same time, the confrontation between U23 Vietnam and U23 North Korea will compete in Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand.
