VFF announced criteria of Vice Chairman of Finance

In order to strengthen the Executive Board of the Vietnam Football Federation Session VIII (term 2018-2022), VFF has sent written proposals to member organizations to propose the nomination of Vice Chairman in charge of finance and financing advocacy.

Each member organization may introduce one person and ensure the nomination list has been approved by the Board of Directors of the Member Organization and the nominated person agrees.

The list of nominees will be reported at the Vietnam General Confederation General Meeting 2020 Session VIII to conduct additional election in August 2020.

Standards of VFF Vice President in Finance and Advocacy

- Being a Vietnamese citizen aged 25 or above, having good moral qualities, having a high sense of responsibility, dedicated to the development of Vietnamese football;

- Voluntary and able to arrange time to participate in football activities;

- Knowledgeable and experienced in football activities or professional sports activities; financial and commercial activities;

- Able to plan, build, direct and deploy plans to mobilize, manage and effectively use resources to develop Vietnamese football;

- Ability to gather and mobilize resources to participate in sponsorship and support of businesses and economic organizations in football activities;

- Recommended by member organizations; not be charged with a criminal prosecution or serving discipline.

Many members of the Vietnam Football Federation Executive Committee believe that the position of Vice President of Finance must be a reputable businessman capable of making money for VFF.

Therefore, there will be many nominations for Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam - General Director of Berjaya Vietnam Group, Mr. Tran Van Lieng - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vietnam Cocoa Company, Mr. Le Van Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Dong Luc Sports Joint Stock Company.

Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam will not participate in the election because this businessman has helped VFF to sign a sponsorship contract and receive a commission of up to 30%. The best candidate is Mr. Le Van Thanh - who is currently a member of the VFF Executive Board and Head of VFF Finance and Marketing.
